Access To Black Oak Changing Monday

If you're heading to Black Oak Heritage Park for a hike or nature walk, take note.

Access to the park, along with Broadway Dog Park, will be switching to the Sandwich St. entrance only starting Monday, according to a release from the city of Windsor.

A paving project on Broadway Ave., just west of the Essex Terminal Railway tracks and east of the parkway, is set to start Monday and last four to six weeks.

A temporary detour from the Ojibway Parkway is required for park users, as well as businesses along Broadway Ave., due to construction of the nearby Gordie Howe International Bridge. Through traffic will not be allowed on Broadway Ave. during this time period.

For more information on this project and park access, dial 311 or visit the city's official website.
