Leamington To Award Tender For Skatepark

Leamington's municipal council could award the tender for a new skatepark on Seacliffe Dr. to a Toronto-based company Monday night.

New Line Skateparks was one of three bidders on the project at the Kinsmen Baseball Complex. The other two were Canadian Ramp Company from Oakville, and Transition Construction from Maple Ridge, B.C.

Council still has to approve the final design, but the skatepark is expected to take 12 weeks to build.

It will include features for beginner and intermediate skateboarders, and terrain for all ages.

The budget for the project is $370,000.
