Roller Skating Returns To Essex

Roller skating and rollerblading is returning to the Town of Essex.

The Essex Centre Sports Complex will host it at the Libro Rink Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8:30pm. It starts June 6 and will continue until the ice is reinstalled on the rink in August.

"It was a great way to spend the evening with friends when we were growing up," says Essex Mayor, Ron McDermott. He says he has fond memories of meeting up with friends from school over the summer break at the rink.

"We have had several requests from residents," says Director of Community Services, Doug Sweet.

Helmets will be optional.

The fee for one person is $3, and $10.50 for a family of five.
