Woman Stabbed In Downtown Windsor

A woman has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the neck in downtown Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Tuesday around 9:30pm, officers were called to Ouellette Ave. near Riverside Dr. after the woman was stabbed by a man in front a downtown bar.

She was taken to a local hospital with a stab wound to her neck, which police say is believed to be non-life threatening.

Police say they have since identified a male suspect in connection with the stabbing, but officers are still searching for him.  A suspect description has not yet been made available.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
