Fireworks In Ford City Saturday

The Ford Fireworks is not for another two and a half weeks, but Saturday night, you can catch the fireworks in Ford City.

The Ford City Residents Association is holding its 8th annual event at Gordon McGregor Public School and Ford Test Track Park starting at dusk.

Earlier in the day, there will be family entertainment including face painting, live music, costumed superheroes, a fun fair, and a community barbecue. That gets underway at 3pm.

Sparklers will not be permitted because of the potential for a fire, but glow sticks will be on sale.

Admission is free, and everyone who is going is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
