Sprucing Up Essex County

The County of Essex is spending $2-million to fix up recreational trails and concrete culverts.

Tom Bateman, Director of Infrastructure Services, says the 1.5km active transportation pathway on County Road 2 in Lakeshore near Wallace Line will be paved at a cost of $1.1-million.

The County Road 20 concrete culvert over the South 7th Concession Road Drain in Amherstburg and the County Road 27 concrete culvert over the Cottam Outlet Drain in Kingsville will also be repaired this summer.

The culvert work is expected to take three weeks and County Roads 20 and 27 will be closed during repairs.
