UPDATE: Clerk Assaulted In Violent Robbery

Police in Windsor have released a photo, and description of a suspect wanted after a violent robbery at a business on the east side early Monday morning.

Investigators say a man walked into the store on Lauzon Rd. and spoke briefly with the clerk before he took something from a display and left.

The clerk followed him outside where there was a confrontation where the employee was assaulted with an edged weapon. He was later treated at the hospital for his injuries.

The suspect fled in a red four-door SUV with a cross-shaped emblem on the front grill.

Police describe the suspect as a white man who was approximately 6'0" tall and weighed about 200 lbs. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, black jogging pants, and blue and green basketball shoes.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
