Windsor Robbery Suspect Arrested In LaSalle

Windsor police thank the public for helping identify a suspect wanted after a violent robbery in east Windsor earlier this week.

It happened around 3am Monday at a convenience store on Lauzon Rd. just south of Tecumseh Rd. E.

A clerk at the store was treated in the hospital after he was assaulted.

Investigators received information identifying the suspect after releasing a photo of the suspect to the media Monday afternoon and arrested a 16-year-old at his home in LaSalle that night.

They also recovered a knife.

The teen now faces robbery and assault with a weapon charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
