City Of Windsor Seeking Election Officials

Now that the provincial election is over and done with, it is time to focus on the municipal election in October.

The City of Windsor says it is accepting applications for a number of positions, including greeter, tabulator officer, deputy returning officer, and registration clerk.

It is also looking for parking attendants, accessibility officers, and emergency workers.

The election is on October 22.

Applications are being accepted online at the city's website. If you need help, you can visit the city's Employment & Training Services Office at 400 City Hall Square, Suite 101.

Electors will choose a mayor, ward councillors, and school board trustees in the fall vote.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
