House Fire Kills Nine Cats, Damage at $85,000

Windsor's fire department says nine cats are dead following a house fire.

The fire unleashed at 1614 Highland Ave. in central Windsor just after 11am Saturday morning.

Fire officials say everyone in the house was able to evacuate safely.

An investigator was on the scene for several hours determining the cause, which was an electrical failure in a bathroom.

At least one person has been displaced. Damage has been estimated at $85,000.
