UPDATE: Suspect Arrested & Woman Found Safe

A woman who was seen being forced into a pick-up truck in Windsor Monday night has been found without injuries.

Police say the suspect turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday morning.

A 51-year-old Windsor man has been charged with assault.

Police say an investigation revealed that the two know each other.

Police say on Monday around 7:30pm, officers responded to the area of Queen St. and Watkins St. where witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman arguing shortly before the woman was forced into the vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
