Crash On County Rd. 22 Blamed On Drinking And Driving

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged a Windsor man with impaired driving charges after a crash injured two people.

The collision involving two vehicles was at the intersection of County Rd. 22 and West Puce Rd. around 9pm last Wednesday night.

Witnesses told officers an eastbound vehicle on County Rd. 22 was being driven erratically when the driver lost control and hit a second vehicle which was stopped at a stop sign.

The driver and a passenger in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the first vehicle is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving over the legal alcohol limit.

Police also suspended the 63-year-old man's license and seized his vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
