Vollmer Complex Closed Friday For Training Exercise

People hoping to use the Vollmer Complex in LaSalle on Friday may want to change their plans.

The Town of LaSalle says the entire complex is closed for the day for an emergency mock training exercise.

The training is being completed with the LaSalle Police Service and LaSalle Fire and Rescue, though it is not known exactly what the scenario will be.

All activities and programs scheduled for Friday are cancelled.

In addition, the complex's aquatic centre will be closed Saturday so staff can complete training, though outdoor open swimming is available from 2pm to 6pm Saturday at the LaSalle outdoor pool.

The Vollmer Complex is closed Sunday for Canada Day, but the entire building reopens on Monday, as the town's summer day camp program gets underway.
