Kids Summer Camp Needs Saving

The St. Clair College Alumni Association has stepped up to help save a children's summer camp.

They have donated $10,000 to the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation’s “Fresh Air” Summer Camp Program.

The Foundation still needs to raise $30,000 to send approximately 350 children to a number of day, recreational and overnight camps that are chosen based on the child’s interests.

Camps are scheduled to begin as school ends for the summer.

“All of us at the Alumni Association were moved by the need to support these children with many challenges who deserve a summer to remember," says Tom Malanfant, President of the Alumni Association. These are future students. Anything we can do to inspire hope is a worthwhile investment.”

The community may support sending a child to camp by calling (519) 252-1171, ext. 3360 or by visiting www.wecaf.on.ca.
