Windsor Police Kick Off Long Weekend With R.I.D.E

Windsor police are making sure drivers hit the roads sober this long weekend.

R.I.D.E programs were held at three different locations Friday night and a total of 407 vehicles were inspected.

Police say six roadside tests were administered, five tickets were issued, and two three-day licence suspensions were given.

There were no impaired driving arrests.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
