The health unit says Sandpoint Beach and West Belle River Beach are closed because bacteria levels have made the water unsafe for swimming. It adds that swimming is not recommended at Point Pelee North West Beach and Cedar Island Beach because bacteria levels exceed acceptable levels and may pose a risk to public health.
No local beaches were closed last week.
