Codeine, Pot Seized In Windsor Raid

A Windsor woman has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

Investigators from the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) obtained a warrant for an apartment on University Ave. W and Cameron Ave., according to Constable Andy Drouillard. Police found a suspect and arrested her without incident at the apartment on Thursday at around 5:30pm.

Officers found and seized a variety of drugs in the apartment, including 94 codeine tablets, 20.3 g of suspected marijuana and 4.1g of suspected hashish.

The 55-year-old woman is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was released on a promise to appear in court at a future date.
