Update: Cause determined for east end house fire

The cause for a fire on Windsor's east end has been determined.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says accidental unattended cooking sparked the blaze on Albert Rd. near Tecumseh Rd. E on Friday around 8:30pm.  Firefighters arrived at the scene to find fire the rear exterior of the home heavily engulfed.

One person had to be taken to hospital to be treated for minor smoke inhalation as a result of the fire but was released from the hospital.

Damages are estimated at $150,000.
