Three Injured In Windsor Vehicle Mishap

A family was sent to hospital after being hit by a car in south Windsor Saturday.

Windsor Police say they were called to the Cortina Gourmet Market on Howard Ave. near North Talbot Rd. shortly after noon on a report of a personal-injury accident. An elderly woman apparently shifted her car into the wrong gear and drove through a patio at the eatery, hitting a family of three.

A teenage girl was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The other two were treated for minor injuries. The elderly driver was not injured.

The WPS Traffic Enforcement Unit is still looking into this incident. It was not immediately known if any charges would be filed.
