Missing Windsor man found dead in Toronto

Toronto police say a missing 22-year-old Windsor man has been found dead.

Ivan Bruno Ujevic had been missing since 9:30 p.m. Sunday from Hanlan’s Point on Toronto Island. Police said at the time that they received reports of a man falling overboard off the ferry and that he was in distress with unknown injuries.

Constable Caroline de Kloet of the TPS' corporate communications unit confirmed to BlackburnNewsWindsor.com that Ujevic's body has been recovered, but the public notification was delayed so loved ones could be notified.

"This ended up being a recovery mission and he was located Wednesday morning," said de Kloet.

Ujevic's Facebook page said that he grew up in Windsor and attended St. Thomas of Villanova. He had been employed at Canadian Tire.

Toronto police would like to thank the public and the media for their help in resolving this case.
