Hospice finds temporary home for residential program

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County has an agreement to relocate its residential program to Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare temporarily.

The eight-bed program will open Tuesday, September 18 at its for-now location on Prince Rd.

Currently, the Hospice Residential Home is under construction. The work started last spring, and the relocation is expected to last until the end of November.

The temporary home will be at 2North of the Dr Y Emara Centre for Healing Aging at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. The move is not expected to disrupt service for patients and their families.

The new home will include two additional suites, two modern family support rooms, and upgraded common rooms.
