Students in Windsor-Essex will soon be educated by their peers on the issue of sexual violence and consent.
The Ontario Provincial Police in Essex County challenged students in grades 9 to 12 at OPP policed schools to create an educational video explaining what consent is.
The Project B.E.S.T. (Believe, Empower, Support, Together) program was funded under a new community safety grant program administered by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.

The winning video was created by students in Mrs Senjanin's grade 12 "Challenge and Change" class at St. Anne's Catholic High School in Lakeshore. The participating students in the winning entry were Maja Chesnick, Avery Piazza, Serena Smith, Alessia Fazio, and Elise Bull.
The submission was judged on relevant content, creativity, use of technology, and overall message delivery.
The video will be posted on social media and used as a tool to educate students and the public.
