The Windsor Police Service responded to the area early Tuesday evening and closed the street and surrounding area near the intersection of University Avenue West and Crawford Avenue.
Police officials said officers are investigating the sudden death of an adult male, however, it is not believed to be criminal in nature.
No other information has been released at this time.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
