UPDATE: 401 on-ramp at Provincial Rd. reopened

An on-ramp to Highway 401 has reopened after being shut down for several hours due to a crash.

Ontario Provincial Police say a tractor-trailer overturned on the Provincial Rd. on-ramp to the westbound 401 around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Tecumseh Fire and Rescue reported via Twitter that the driver of the tractor-trailer was treated by paramedics but it is not known if the driver went to hospital.

There were no reported hazardous materials being transported and no other reports of injuries.

The OPP say all lanes on the on-ramp were completely blocked for about five hours with drivers being advised to use an alternate route. The on-ramp was reopened to traffic around 9:30 p.m.
