Windsor Fire and Rescue said flames erupted late Tuesday night in the loading dock of a building on Hanna Street East at McDougall Street.
Fire officials said the blaze caused $300,000 in damage.
There are no reports of injuries.
Windsor police are helping with the investigation.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
