Carjacking injures two in east Windsor

Two people suffered minor injuries during an apparent carjacking Friday.

Windsor police say it happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a grocery store on Wyandotte Street East near Lauzon Road. Officers responded to a "trouble unknown" call. When they arrived at the scene, the two people said a man used force to steal their vehicle.

The man is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, six feet tall, 180 pounds, with a brown goatee and tattoos on his neck. He was wearing camouflage shorts, a black t-shirt, a black baseball hat and black sunglasses.

The stolen vehicle is described as a brown Buick Regal, Ontario licence CDZ-D002. If you see this vehicle, police ask that you not approach it yourself and call 911 with the information.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
