Windsor men charged after thefts in Tecumseh and Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police has had a break in their investigation into a rash of thefts from vehicles in Tecumseh and Lakeshore.

Essex OPP officers on patrol in Harrow arrested two men "lurking" in a residential neighbourhood. Both men had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

During the investigation, police found out the two had allegedly committed a number of property-related crimes.

Christopher Chapman, 31, of Windsor is charged with break and enter, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and shoplifting.

The second man charged is 27-year-old Darren Scott. Police have charged him with theft from a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Both men will appear in a Windsor courtroom on the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
