UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Lakeshore crash

County Road 42 at Patillo Road has reopened after a fatal collision this morning.

Police responded to the motor vehicle collision in Lakeshore around 6:30 a.m.

An eastbound vehicle turned left onto Patillo Road, colliding with a westbound motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP have identified the victim as Armando Zilio, 64, of Lakeshore

OPP investigators closed the road for approximately four hours.

Charges are pending against the 23-year-old driver of the vehicle. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in this crash.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
