Traffic moving again on Ambassador Bridge

A police situation on the Ambassador Bridge temporarily shut down traffic in both directions.

Windsor police sent out a tweet around 10 a.m. Monday morning saying a person was in distress on the bridge and the bridge was closed.

An hour later, Ambassador Bridge sent out a notice that read traffic was moving again, and "U.S. and Canada Customs will maintain all of their facilities and will continue to do so until traffic is clear."

General Manager Randy Spader says the police situation has been resolved and operations are back to normal.

All lanes on both sides of the border will be open to clear any backups as soon as possible.
