Police investigate serious injury at Windsor hotel

A man is in hospital after dropping from the second floor of a Windsor hotel.

Windsor police said the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Monday at the hotel on Howard Avenue near Grand Marais Road. Officers arrived at the location on an "assist ambulance" call. When they began to question witnesses, it was soon determined that there may have been a criminal element to what happened.

The victim, whose identity is not being released, suffered life threatening injuries.

A 19-year-old Windsor man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. It was not clear what charges the man may be facing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
