Advance polling starts Saturday in Windsor

Municipal Election Day is Monday, October 22, but if you will not be around that day, there is another option.

Advanced polls open Saturday, October 6 at Devonshire Mall in front of the old Sears store. Voting hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There are four other days for advanced polling too.

Tuesday, October 9 at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Centre, voters can cast a ballot in the sports gym from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The centre is on Pulford St.

On Wednesday, October 10 voters can go to the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre at 401 Pitt St. W where voting will take place on the lower atrium from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Advanced polling takes place Thursday, October 11 at Central Park Athletics on Grand Marais Rd. E at Central Ave. Voters are asked to go to the banquet room on the second floor. The poll will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The final day of the advanced polls is Saturday, October 13 at the WFCU Centre's Collavino Hall on McHugh St. The poll will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
