OPP say 'suspicious man' in Essex not a public safety concern

The Ontario Provincial Police has wrapped up an investigation after a suspicious man was spotted taking pictures of young children in Essex over the weekend.

The man was driving a silver-coloured SUV on Concession 4 Saturday afternoon.

Police got similar reports last year about the same man and investigated at that time too.

Investigators said the man has committed no criminal offence and is not considered a danger to the public. However, anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave an anonymous message online at www.catchcrooks.com.
