Suspect arrested after stolen credit card used at Windsor stores

Police in Windsor is reminding the public not to leave anything valuable in their vehicles after a stolen credit card was used at several convenience stores and pharmacies.

The card was reported stolen from a vehicle parked overnight on Fairview Boulevard between Edgar Street and Tranby Avenue on Sunday, October 7.

The Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit was able to get surveillance video of the suspect from one of the stores. From there, investigators identified the suspect and arrested him downtown last Friday.

During the arrest, officers also found 215 grams of marijuana.

Justin Kacmarski of Windsor faces fraud and theft charges, and one count of using a stolen credit card. He is also charged with possession of stolen property, possession of suspected marijuana, breach of recognizance and breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
