Windsor nearly breaks cold record for October 16

The Windsor area almost broke a 74-year-old cold record Tuesday morning.

The Environment Canada web page shows the temperature dropped to -0.5 C at 7 a.m. The area hasn't been this cold on October 16 since the daily low record was -0.6 C set in 1944, according to the agency website.

Windsor-Essex was under a frost advisory Tuesday morning.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
