Another Lowe's opens in Windsor

East Windsor has something new to rave about.

Lowe’s Canada opened a new store at 7350 Catherine Street near Lauzon Parkway on Thursday. It's the second Lowe’s store in Windsor and 68th store in Canada. The new $21.6 million store will create 75 new permanent jobs with an additional 80 seasonal jobs.

The Lowe’s Windsor East store will offer customers approximately 40,000 products in-stock as well as thousands more available through special order and on www.lowes.ca to meet all of their home improvement needs.

The store is holding special grand opening activities all weekend with giveaways and workshops.

Lowe’s celebrated the official grand opening of the new store by donating money to the Street Help Homeless Centre of Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
