Important bone marrow drive to save Cottam baby's life

A baby in Cottam needs your help.

Baby Nolan Trepanier has been diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia ( JMML), a very serious type of aggressive blood cancer that affects infants and young children. It is an extremely rare form of cancer and less than one in a million get it.

The only chance for curing Nolan is a stem cell transplant and he needs help to stay alive. There's a clinic in Kingsville on Wednesday to find a bone marrow match. It's at Kingsville Arena Room B at 1741 Jasperson Lane, Kingsville from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Stem Cell donors must be 17 years old to 35 and must be healthy. The simple procedure involves a quick swab of your cheeks to register. People can also register at www.blood.ca.

For more information contact the Katelyn Bedard Bone Marrow Association at 519-564-4119 or visit www.givemarrow.net.
