Driver seriously injured in Lakeshore crash

One person is fighting for their life following a single vehicle-crash in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the crash on Essex County Rd. 34 (Talbot Rd.) on Thursday around 7 p.m.

The male driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was rushed to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

Essex County Road 34 has been closed between Essex County Rd. 19 (Manning Rd.) and Ellis Side Road to allow police officers to conduct an investigation. The road is expected to be closed for several hours.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
