Kitchen fire causes big damage

Damage is estimated at around $150,000 after a significant kitchen fire broke out in Windsor.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews responded to the blaze on Tuscarora Street near Mercer Street around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Nobody was hurt.

Fire officials said the kitchen fire was accidental, however, the cause of the blaze has not been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
