Windsor armed robbery suspect arrested

A Windsor man has been arrested in connection to a convenience store armed robbery from earlier this month.

Windsor police said they arrested a man on October 25 after a traffic stop in the area of Prince Road and King Street determined that the vehicle was stolen.

Officers searched a home on Birch Street near Prince Road on October 26 as part of their investigation and recovered property believed to be taken during the robbery on Matchette Road near Strathmore Avenue.

Investigators said on October 17 a male suspect entered the store with his face covered by clothing, approached the employee while brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash. He then fled the store with a quantity of money. Nobody was hurt.

Kyle Parent, 37, is now charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of stolen property.
