OPP look for witnesses after cyclist struck by vehicle

The Ontario Provincial Police in Tecumseh hopes someone has information that will lead them to the driver of a vehicle that hit a cyclist.

Police say the cyclist was struck from behind by a vehicle on Walker Rd. between North Talbot Rd. and Hwy. 401 around 6:15 a.m. Monday. The vehicle did not stop.

The man suffered significant, but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the hospital.

Investigators say the man was wearing a bright yellow raincoat, but no helmet. He was riding northbound on Walker Rd. and it was raining a the time.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Tecumseh OPP detachment at 519-735-2424, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at www.catchcrooks.com.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
