Generals shoot down Spitfires 5-2

The Oshawa Generals have snapped a four-game win streak for the Windsor Spitfires after a 5-2 victory on Thursday.

The Generals scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the game to take the advantage, but Will Cuylle scored for Windsor at the 15:20 mark to cut the lead in half.

Oshawa added another goal 12:49 into the second period, but the Spitfires continued to fight back with Daniel D'Amico scoring late in the frame to bring Windsor within one goal.

However, the Generals scored two more unanswered goals in the third to ensure the win.

Despite the loss, Windsor outshot Oshawa 35-29.

The Spitfires will travel to Saginaw on Saturday to face off against the Spirit at 7:05 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
