Chamber of Commerce announces new president and CEO

The Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce has a new president and CEO, and he's no stranger to the business community.

Rakesh Naidu, formerly of the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation has been named to the post after former president Matt Marchand quit earlier this year to make an unsuccessful run for mayor in the municipal election.

"Rakesh's background and experience in a variety of senior roles over the past ten years, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer at the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation, coupled with his extensive skills make him a very qualified and deserving leader," said Jason Ilijanic, member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Naidu will take the reins from Acting President and CEO Janice Forsyth on December 12.
