Police investigate downtown stabbing

Windsor Police are investigating a stabbing that took place overnight.

The incident took place around 3:30 Saturday morning on University Street W near Ouellette Avenue.

The victim, a male in his early 20s, is still in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No one is in custody and no description has been given of the suspect. Police tell Blackburn News they believe it was not a random act.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
