UPDATE: Multi-vehicle crash on EC Row cleared

Windsor police say a collision that affected traffic on the E.C. Row Expressway in Windsor has been cleared.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on the expressway near Banwell Road in east Windsor. It was not immediately clear which direction of the expressway the crash occurred on, but traffic has slowed down in both directions at that area, resulting in significant backups.

Police say as many as four vehicles were affected with minor injuries reported.

Drivers were being urged to avoid the area if possible and use an alternate route.

The collision was cleared about an hour later.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
