Woman charged in weekend stabbing

A Windsor woman is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a stabbing incident over the weekend.

Windsor police say it happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Rooney Street near Campbell Avenue. A man and a woman were arguing inside a home when the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the man. The woman then turned her attention to another woman in the home and assaulted her as well.

The man was treated for minor injuries. The female victim was rushed to hospital with serious, life-threatening wounds.

Police say the three people all knew each other. An investigation revealed that there was a probation order in place that required the man and the female suspect to not have contact with each other in any way.

Adrienne Plastow, 36, of Windsor, was arrested at the scene and is now charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and two counts of facilitating a breach of probation. These charges have yet to be proven in court.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830, or Crime Stoppers.
