Brutal beating in Windsor leads to two arrests

Two men have been arrested after a vicious assault in Windsor.

Police said a man was assaulted by several men with weapons inside a home on Glengarry Avenue near Riverside Drive on Monday at around 5:30 a.m. The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested the suspects at around noon in the same area after a search of a home discovered a bat, a machete, a sledge hammer, and two pipes.

Brandon Belcher, 29, and Joshua Drouillard, 23, both from Windsor, are charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
