Man stabbed at Beer Store near downtown Windsor

One man has been stabbed and another is in police custody after a stabbing near downtown Windsor.

Windsor police said one man was stabbed in the abdomen and was taken to hospital after he was attacked in the Beer Store parking lot on Goyeau Street and Elliott Street just before 7 p.m. on Friday. Another man was immediately arrested and is in police custody.

Police said charges are pending and officers are not looking for any other suspects in connection to the stabbing.

It's unknown how serious the injuries are, what the motive was or if the men know each other.

No further details have been released at this time as police continue to investigate the incident.
