Spirit shoots down Spitfires 6-2

The Windsor Spitfires dropped a 6-2 decision to the Saginaw Spirit in OHL action on Friday.

Will Cuylle kicked off the game for Windsor with a goal 10:15 into the first period, but the Spirit scored twice late in the frame to take the lead.

The Spitfires tied things up after Cole Purboo scored 3:36 into the second, but again Saginaw responded by scoring another goal to make it 3-2 heading into the third. The Spirit capitalized in the final period by scoring three more unanswered goals to ensure their win.

Windsor goaltender Colton Incze made 36 saves out of 42 shots on net.

The Spitfires return home on Sunday to take on the Spirit again at 2:05 p.m.
