Major crimes investigating incident in central Windsor

The Windsor Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating an incident that took place overnight at a residence near the intersection of Windemere Road and Seneca Street.

Emergency services were dispatched to a 'trouble unknown' call around 2 a.m. Sunday. Police have released few details but a witness tells Blackburn News that they awoke to a heavy police presence in the area and that there is currently police caution tape around the house.

At least one person was taken to hospital according to a witness, though they are not saying how serious the injuries are.

The WPS Forensic Identification Unit was on scene beginning Sunday afternoon.
