Resident sprayed with pepper spray during break-in

A Tecumseh resident is recovering after getting a face full of what is believed to be pepper spray during a break-in at his apartment.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to an apartment building on Tecumseh Rd. near Shawnee Rd. in Tecumseh around 12:30 a.m. last Thursday after a group of masked me forced their way into one of the units.

A man and his son were asleep at the time, but there was a confrontation when they woke up, and one of the residents was sprayed in the face with the noxious substance.

The suspects fled in a light-coloured four-door sedan with tinted windows and were last seen speeding off southbound on Lesperance Rd.

The victims suffered minor injuries.
